Who is responsible

The data controller for kitwagon.com is Lars Ole Hjelkrem, Oslo, Norway. Contact: contact@kitwagon.com.

Data stored on your device

The currency converter on the home page remembers the last currency pair you used (for example “GBP-INR”) in your browser’s localStorage under the key kw:pair, so it opens with the same pair next time. This value stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Everything you type into the converter and the quote checker is calculated in your browser and is not sent to us or anyone else.

Hosting and security (Cloudflare)

Kitwagon is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and delivered through Cloudflare’s network (Cloudflare, Inc.). When you visit, your browser necessarily sends technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page you requested and the time of the request. Cloudflare uses this data to deliver the site and to protect it against abuse and attacks, and keeps it in its logs according to its own retention practices. We do not use it to identify you.

If Cloudflare needs to check for automated traffic, it may set a strictly necessary security cookie. We do not set any cookies ourselves.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure and reliable website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Cloudflare processes this data on our behalf under its data processing addendum. Cloudflare is a US company. For transfers outside the EEA it relies on its certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on standard contractual clauses. More information: Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure page speed. According to Cloudflare, it does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint visitors and does not build personal profiles. We only see aggregated numbers, such as visits per page, countries and load times.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding which pages are useful and keeping the site fast (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

If you email us

If you write to contact@kitwagon.com, we receive your email address and your message. Emails are forwarded by Cloudflare Email Routing to our mailbox. We use them only to reply to you and keep them only as long as needed for that purpose. Legal basis: GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) – answering your enquiry.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing and to data portability. Kitwagon itself stores almost no personal data, so in many cases there will be nothing for us to hand over or delete. We will tell you if that is the case.

To use your rights, contact contact@kitwagon.com.

You also have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority, Datatilsynet, or to the data protection authority in the country where you live.

Advertising

Kitwagon currently shows no advertising and uses no advertising cookies or trackers. If we add advertising in the future, we will update this policy first. We will also ask for your consent before any advertising cookies or similar technologies are used, wherever the law requires it, and you will be able to change your choice at any time.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Kitwagon handles data, we will update this page and the date at the top. This version is dated October 8, 2026.
